Champion Mutton Buster

This handsome young cowboy took first place in the Mutton Bustin' at Broncs and Bulls last weekend!  For those of you not familiar with the practice, mutton bustin' is a rodeo event for kids where they attempt to ride a sheep for 8 seconds.  Similar to bronc ridding, or bull riding, the cowboys and girls get points for their riding abilities and the performance of the sheep they drew, but have to stay on for the full 8 seconds to get any points at all.  Mutton bustin' looks like this (click here).  Notes: This muton buster is not Willie.  The sheep Willie rode looked much more like  this (click here) (okay not that) but like this (click here).

This was Willie's second time competing in the event. He took 3rd place last year at Chief Joseph Days.

    Go Willie! I love that you get to be more part of his life now. And I am cracking up at the picture of him with his arms around those two girls. You are supposed to teach him that girls are bad Sadie :) Girls are always after those darn cowboys, must be tough to fight them all off.

    I am going to have to say, this may be the best post yet! Especially, the music with the picture of Willie holding EJ! Love my kids and miss them so much! Congratulations Willie!
